Bertrand Arthur William Russell (3rd Earl Russell) (AKA Sir Bertrand Russell) (1872 - 1970) was a British philosopher, logician, mathematician and historian. He is generally credited with being one of the founders of Analytic Philosophy , and almost all the various Analytic movements throughout the 20th Century (particularly Logicism , Logical Positivism and Ordinary Language Philosophy ) owe something to Russell.
